Team Planet is owned and run by Simon Lewis.
With 25 years' sustainability experience and a 15-year focus on the sport sector, I have a deep knowledge of the connections between environmental sustainability and sport: from mitigating the impact of sport events to ensuring positive legacy and communications outcomes.
At WWF (World Wildlife Fund), I helped devise and implement the One Planet Olympic framework for the London 2012 Games in what still stands as the blueprint for sustainable sport. Starting Team Planet in January 2014, I have worked with sports, from football to rowing, as well as sponsors, federations, organising committees, clubs, NGOs, communications agencies and international organisations.
Leading sports and the Olympic movement are rushing to engage with sustainability and issues including climate change, water resources and biodiversity, through initiatives such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Sports for Climate Action.
